 Each week our teacher is going to give as a new topic for reading this weeks topic was all about bees. For our first task we had to read the book and then write in some notes about what we had learnt by reading the book, here is what i have done.

Bees make honey them self in there bee hives.  Bees are imported because many plants, animals and humans would not live without them. They carry the pollen that they get from all the flowers on their backs and take it to their beehives to create honey.  That the part of the flower that has the pollen is the stamen and it is the male part of the flower and the female  part is called a stigma and it is in the middle of the plant. The stigma proges the seeds of flowers.

If we did not have bees we would not have a 3rd of the percent of the food we eat.  Flowers use perfume and color to tell the bees that they are ready to get pollination.  Bees can’t see the color red so they motley pollinate blue and yellow flowers.

Fish in a tree - Chapter 10

 This term we are reading a book called fish in a tree, we are now up to chapter 10 and our teacher gave our class some question that we had to answer about the book here is my answers. 

• Which character would you most likely admire?  The charter most likely to admire Mr Daniels, because he is so kind to Ally and didn't just think that she is bad because of what the other teachers said. Also he is calm to everyone in the class.

• Which characters do you dislike the most? I most dislike Shay and Jessica the most because of how they treated Ally, like being all fake and pretending to be her friend just to make fun of her. 

• Which character would you most likely be friends with? I would like to be friends with Ally so she does not feel alone  and she has someone to talk to if she wants to. 

• Which character would you most likely learn from? I think I

am most likely learn from Mr Daniels again because he is inspiring to me of how nice he is to everyone and does not care what other people think of anyone and gets to know that person himself. 

• What charter would you like to get to know more about? I would like to know more about her brother Travis because maybe he could help her talk and help her with her school work. Also making new friends.  

New Zealand

For writing this term we are focusing on reports writing For our first one that the done we had to pick a county or a animal I picked New Zealand. Here it is   

 New Zealands is a country in the pacific made up of islands. The popultion of New Zealand at the start of 2021 4,860,643 and has increased 0.8% from 2020 .  Every sport is an important part of life in New Zealand. Heaps of tourists visit some amazing places across New Zealand . There are no deadly animals in New Zealand and our most important one is our native animal is a kiwi. Also did you know that New Zealand is the first country to see the sun rise?

Although we have many animals, none are deadly. We have one native animal that is  kiwi, in New Zealand There are about 68,000 kiwi left. We're losing 2% of our kiwis every year that's around 20 per week. We also have other native animals such as Bats/pekapeka, Invertebrates Marine mammals, Marine fish,  Freshwater fish, Kea.

Did you know that over 3.8 million tourists visit New Zealand every year? It has increased by 0.7% over the past couple of years. New Zealand is the 4th best tourist destination in the world, the first top tourist attractions is  Fiordland National Park, in the South Island  Fiordland National Park is one of the wettest places in the world it avengers about 182 days of rain per year and also has hundreds of hundreds of temporarily waterfalls from off all of the mountains, so if you ever decide to go to visit Fiordland National Park I suggest you take a warm jacket just in cause it rains. 

Rugby union is by far the most popular sport in New Zealand, the NZ sports TV selection is usually 50% rugby and 50% every other sport. We also have other really popular sports like rugby league, cricket, soccer, basketball and netball. New Zealand has won 103 medals in olympics, winning their first official gold medal in 1928 won by Ted Morgen in boxing. 

New Zealand is a cool little country and I would recommend one day if you ever get the chance to come and visit you do so.

Fish in a tree - Chapter4Summary

 This year my class has been reading fish in a tree a book about a girl that finds it hard to make friends and do school work. My teacher set a task to write up a summary about chapter four, here is mine. 

Fish In A Tree 

 

Shay and Jessica were sarcastically being nice to her but all they wanted to do was take the mickey out of her, because they knew she could not read from when they were younger and she miss said a word.

 Her Mum's the worker at the cafe that they were at, and everyday after school Ally would go there with her. 

Her Dad works in the army so they have to move around a lot for that job. The grandad moved everywhere they did and now he has passed away.
