Yesterday we had Te Reo we were learning how to ask who your friends are and also how to answer who your friends are. Here is a google drawing about what I learned.

Dear Mr Daniels 

   

I might not show it but I am so happy to have you as my teacher this year. I know that it is weird that I am writing to you when we see each other everyday at school, but it is easier to write than say. I know we have just met but I feel like I can trust you and can tell you and to know more about me. The reason I don’t like to do my school work is because it is really hard for me to read so the way I talk about things is not from the writing it is from the pictures that go with the writing. That's why I got Mrs Sliver that card last year because the bright yellow flowers on the card looked nice but i just could not read the words. I hope you can help me and not think I am dumb or stupid.

We are read a book called fish in a tree we have to pretend that we were one on the charters in the book writing s letter to anther charter in the book. I am Ally and I and writing to her teacher Mr Daniels. Here is my letter.

Sestina Poem

This term our writing topic has been poetry and we are now in week 7 and a get NZ writing has given us a poem called sestina poem. So here is my poem that I have done. The black writing is what we already had and the blue writing is what I have done. The poem is about something naughty that we did when we were little so here is mine when I was 5 years old.

Maths graphs

At the start last week we were doing tally chart on fruit burst first  to come up with the question my question was what is the population of each colour in the bag so I can't it every colour in the bag and wrote the data on my book then we turned it into tally after that i had to do the other bag I did on the same Tally. After that I turned into a bar graph then I asked if I had to do 2 bar graphs.Then my teacher asked me if I knew how to do a line graph. I did not know how to do one so she taught me.once I had finished I shared it with the class. Here are my working outs.

This week in Mamaku hub we have been working on 

nikau palm trees. We have been focusing on what they look like.

Here are my sentences:

The nikau palm leaves are sharp and very tall. The leaves are made up of little leaves coming out of the branch at the top of  the trunk and sometimes out of the sides.
