The Worlds Worst Teachers


WALT - To create a eye catching poster on a google drawing using persuasive language to warn the audience.
The past two weeks we have been reading a book that is called The Worlds Worst Teachers.
 So far there has three teachers we had to pick one of them and make a beware poster.
 I picked Mr Pents because I thought that he was the funniest.
 We are going to be putting these round our school to make sure that all the kids at our school know what there are going into if they are going to read the book.
I do recommend the book.

Prep



What is prep ~ Prep is a thing where you learn what it would be like to have a job. You get into groups and  deice what you can make then you have 2 weeks to  make during that 2 weeks we have a mini market were you can go see what other people have made.Then on Friday at the end of the 2 weeks we have a big market where you go round and buy with the money you have make for the last 2 weeks you can buy things that other people have made in the school.

For writing this term we had to get into groups of 3 and create a pick a path. First we had to think of a fairy tale and then we had to make our pick a path that is on that fairy tale. Can you guess what fairy tale my group picked?  I found this task fun because my group worked well together and we did not put anyone down.

Homeless research


For Chapter Chat this week one of the actives was to research about the homeless in New Zealand. I found some really sad information. I found this task interesting because I did not know how many people there are that are homeless.

Persuasive Writing

Why kids under 2 should not be looking at electronics.


Did you know that if kids under 2 look at electronics it can have
an effect on children's language development, reading skills, and
short term memory?  I think that it is very bad for their eyes
and might affect their eye site.


My first reason is that surveys tell us that 92.2% of 1-year-olds
have already used a mobile device, some starting as young as age
4 months.
Another reason is that kids should be injing life outside and not
inside on a screen.
My third reason is that Dr. Aric Sigman says that they can
unintentionally cause permanent damage to their still-developing
brains. Also too much screen time too soon, he says, “is the very
thing impeding the development of the abilities that parents are so
eager to foster through the tablets. The ability to focus, to
concentrate, to lend attention, to sense other people’s attitudes
and communicate with them.

That is 3 reasons why I think that children  younger than two
should not be looking at electronics. What do you think ?

how long?




For this activity we had to get in groups, and then 1 member had to jump as far as they could,and we would try and guess how many cm they jumped.After that we would measure how far they jumped. Once we jumped 1.94!I really enjoyed this activity.

Pyper's thought ~ My thought is it must be hard to learn how many words can they spell properly
can it get helped.it was very hard to read most of those words some words were the same like we.


Neve thought ~ my thought is this must be really difficult for the people that have this. At first
i didn't even know what it is and i had no interest at all  but after it has been explained to me i
feel a lot more hurt because i cannot imagine me with it and how stressed you must get from
learning. This task was really hard that we had to go in groups and we worked together.     

Charli's thought ~ My thought was how do they work like that like it must be really hard i even
found it really hard to work out those words Me Pyper Neve and Nia had to work as a group to
work it out it was really confusing and it would be so hard for deleak people.


Nia's thoughts ~ My thoughts are i feel really bad for the boys and girls that have dyslexia
. I feel even more bad because they can even read
